Company Profile: Fresh flavas and Paul Abbott (the artist)
Fresh Flavas…..’’a company, so close to The Street they are almost lickin’ the concrete!’’ ….said Big Cheese magazine and, of Paul’s art work..’’ each design is like a mini-graff masterpiece.’’
Fresh flavas first got turned on to graffiti in the early 90’s. We were selling T shirts at a now, sadly, defunct festival called the Urban Games on Clapham Common. It was a display case for great Urban Sports and, all around the festival ground, the organisers boarded up the perimeter fencing. Teams of writers appeared from around the UK and abroad and transformed these boards in to fantastic sprayed art over the three days of the event. Amongst the artists then was an unknown guy called Banksy who sprayed up a stencilled image of a monkey with a board ‘Laugh now…’ at the end of the festival all the boards got trashed…..guess how much his panels alone would have cost now?!
Unfortunately, we found that there were few writers who could successfully scale down these fabulous large sprayed images to T shirt size. That’s where the magic of Paul Abbott filled the void.
Taking a trip round one of our favourite areas, the North Lanes in Brighton, we discovered his art work there for the first time, in a small independent shop called One40five. We bought all three panels that were for sale and asked the owner how to get in touch with the artist.
To us it seemed that he had a magical way of capturing ‘street’ culture. He had a fine art background with a B.A at Brighton College of Art and although a ‘serious’ painter developed a way of capturing Urban images from things he had seen in the back streets of Brighton and whilst on snowboarding and surfing trips.
We had built up a small portfolio of Paul’s work and it was selling well in independent underground shops like Mash in Oxford Street, Moist in Southampton and Urban Chaos in Bromley. We went to see a Banksy exhibition in Cargo in Rivington Street in the East End of London. We showed the manager there a few samples of Paul’s work. ‘That’s it!’’ - he exclaimed, jabbing his finger at the T shirt designs …’That’s the guy we are looking for’. They had seen Paul’s art work on our Tee shirts and were looking for him to do an exhibition of his work there. So we were the first exhibitors after Banksy to show at Cargo.
We are keen to look at anyone else’s art work too. If you think you, or somebody you know, has got what it takes to get on to our T shirts we would love to see your pieces. Remember, we are not looking, necessarily, for someone with a similar style to our existing artists, but it should be individual and definitely ‘street’ style!

Please allow 5 working days [Saturday is not a working day]. Providing the order is placed before 5.30pm. Please note all orders require a signature on receipt.
European / Worldwide orders
International orders are sent by standard airmail, and will not require a signature on receipt.
Return or Exchange an Item
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, simply return the item or items to us in their original condition within 14 days of receipt. We will exchange the item for a different size / colour. The item is your responsibility until it reaches us. For your own protection, we recommend that you send the parcel using a delivery service that insures you for the value of the goods.

Distance Selling Regulations
Under the United Kingdom's Distance Selling Regulations you have the right to cancel your order for any item purchased from Blunt For a full refund. Cancellations must be made , within 7 days of delivery of your item(s), and can be sent by e-mail to info@freshflavas.com . Once you have cancelled your order, the goods should be returned to 5,Dartford Road, Bexley, Kent DA5 2BH within 14 days.The item is your responsibility until it reaches us. For your own protection, we recommend that you send the parcel using a delivery service that insures you for the value of the goods.
